The Longines Global Champions Tour (LGCT) of Monaco 2024, held from July 4th to 6th at the picturesque Port Hercules, was a remarkable showcase of equestrian excellence. The event featured a star-studded lineup of riders and thrilling competitions, making it a highlight of the international show jumping calendar.
Ines Joly emerged as the standout performer, winning the prestigious €1.5 million Grand Prix of Monaco. Her skill and precision on the course set her apart, securing her place among the elite riders of the tour.
The Pro Am Cup, a highlight of the event that combines the talents of professional and amateur riders, was won by Team FAYAT. Ines Joly teamed up with Eleonora Sanna, and together they clocked an impressive combined time of 67.07 seconds. This victory not only demonstrated their exceptional teamwork but also contributed to raising €27,000 for the AMADE charity. The second place was shared between two teams : Milena Pappas with Emanuele Gaudiano and J.Noghes with F. Nagata, both teams finishing with impressive performances.
The Global Champions League (GCL) saw fierce competition, with teams battling for supremacy. Ultimately, it was the Cannes Stars who clinched the top spot, showcasing their strategic prowess and riding skills.
The Shanghai Swans, despite a strong performance, finished in fourth place. Their efforts were commendable, reflecting their determination and consistency throughout the event.
A special mention goes to Milena Pappas and her horse, Fantasie VHW Z. They delivered clear rounds every day they competed, a testament to their exceptional preparation and synergy. Additionally Milena and Eh Bien van T&L had wonderful rounds throughout the show, further highlighting their performance
